Fujisey Co. Ltd., a member of the ANA Trading Group, is a trading company specializing in tourist gifts, name seals, and miscellaneous goods. Since our establishment in 1970, we have been engaged in the planning, development and wholesale of products in these categories while embracing the management philosophy of “delivering ’good memories and dreams’ to many people”. To follow this philosophy and carry out our role in developing business across Japan, we have sales channels in various business sectors, such as highway service stations, theme parks, tourist areas, airports, train stations, and hotels. Recently, we have decided to enhance our in-house brand development functions and have started to engage in the planning and development of original merchandise and in-house manufacturing. Having celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2020, we are more committed than ever to providing appealing products and services that can deliver good memories and dreams to many people and make them happy, thereby becoming a company that inspires dreams.
Business Activities
Planning, manufacturing, and wholesale of products centering on tourist gifts
We plan and develop products that appeal to target consumers by quickly responding to changes in the marketplace. We analyze market needs using market information gathered from a total of more than 3,000 locations nationwide, including our customers and outlets. Based on this analysis, products are manufactured using external partner factories in Japan and elsewhere as well as internal functions, and appropriately distributed to target marketplaces. We make the most effective use of our unique networks and capabilities to swiftly and accurately respond to various needs of customers and markets. We undertake OEM production projects in a comprehensive manner to cover product design and delivery as well as sales floor arrangement. In addition, we boast strong food product planning, especially for character-themed sweets and snacks and lesser-known but delicious local confectioneries.
Name seals and related products
Fujisey began manufacturing name stamp holders, a novel creation that resulted from combining the name stamp and the key holder designed to feature popular characters of the times. Consumer needs for name seals (a long-established tool used in formal documentation practices in Japan) have been changing with the times. In response to changing needs, we have renewed the design of the product in line with the recent trend toward personalization, specifically by featuring the first name of the user and optionally containing a date specified by the purchaser, a change from the previous format which features only the family name. We are also adding special value by offering optional choices of adopting private life-oriented concepts like “uniquely personal,” “family,” “friends,” “birthday,” “anniversary,” and “date of the event.” Along with this, we have developed the know-how to perform a range of processes from inventory control to shipment arrangement for accommodating needs related to a widening variety of personal names and formatting the date option on a daily basis, which represents one of our unique strengths.
